Narratives lead by nature. Speculative design for Dutch policymakers and engineers.
The project’s first phase was to design artefacts for the Rijkswaterstaat’s vision conference - the Kraaiennestdag. Inspired by a view of the Netherlands with an imbalance in water drainage, we speculate a future with drying highlands and unchecked extreme weather patterns.
In the second phase, we pivot to making people engage with a transforming environment instead of reacting to it. Constructing navigation implements for the new Veluwe and creating a volatile information system using waste wood.
